Goldmills Recruitment are seeking a permanent full time Pastry Chef in Billericay. This fine dining restaurant offers first class, freshly cooked food from contemporary menus with a traditional influence for Lunch, Dinner and Afternoon Tea. The Restaurant is open for diners Wednesday to Sunday.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Pastry Chef. As avital member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for running your section and contributing to the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. This role is perfect for a motivated Pastry Chef looking to enhance their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen.

· Our Private Dining Room is open Wednesday to Sunday for Weddings/Wakes/Special Occasions and Events
· Additional overtime is available
Key Responsibilities
· Design and produce a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and desserts.
· Innovate and refine recipes to enhance flavours and presentation.
· Select, measure, and mix ingredients while ensuring quality and freshness.
· Plan production schedules to meet demand while maintaining efficiency.
· Ensure all baked goods meet hygiene, health, and safety standards.
· Train and oversee junior pastry chefs and kitchen assistants.
· Manage inventory, control waste, and work within budget constraints.
· Ensure desserts are visually appealing and aligned with brand standards.
· Work with chefs and restaurant staff to create cohesive menus.
· Stay updated on industry trends to keep offerings innovative and appealing.
